FIU has partnered with United Way of Miami-Dade County to continue to find avenues to improve the lives of those who live, work and raise their families in this community, including members of the FIU family.

United Way is focused on providing an opportunity for a high quality education that leads to a stable job, sufficient income to support a family through retirement and good health. With the help of the FIU community, we can continue to support United Way’s goal to create long-lasting changes.

  • Q: How do I make a pledge?
    Visit https://fiuidp.fiu.edu/idp/profile/SAML2/Unsolicited/SSO?providerId=https://portal.unitedwaymiami.org. Use your AD Credentials to log in (the username & password you use to log into your Outlook)
  • Q: What are my options for pledging?
    Ability to sign up for payroll deduction, credit card payment, e-check payment or pledge to donate cash/check. You will receive a confirmation email.
  • Q: How do I designate my pledge to an agency?
    You may designate your contribution by selecting the checkbox that reads: “I want to designate my donation to an impact area (education, financial stability, or health), or agency.” If you select payroll deduction, your annual contribution will automatically roll over to next year unless you choose to stop your donation.
  • Q: What if I want to change my pledge?
    If you wish to change your pledge please contact the Division of External Relations at 305-348-7235 or via email at uwfiu@fiu.edu.
  • Q: How do I obtain a leadership level of giving?
    You can review the donation requirements for each of the leadership levels here. You can also choose to fast track to a leadership level.
  • Q: What is fast tracking to a leadership level?
    Fast tracking allows donors to make a donation that is not of a leadership level and to increase their donations in the future up to a leadership level. The various fast track levels can be found here.
  • Q: Can I change my contact information?
    Yes, you can update your contact information, as well as change your password by clicking on “My Profile “in the left menu and review the information that we have on file for you.
  • Q: What if I don’t wish to make a change to my pledge?
    Pledges will automatically be rolled over to the next year if no changes are made.
